Day 1: Arrival in Buenos Aires

Your Pre-Program begins with an overnight stay at a centrally located hotel in Buenos Aires. Depending on when you arrive, take some time to explore the city at your leisure.

Day 2: City tour and gastronomy experience

After breakfast, you’ll discover more of vibrant Buenos Aires on a guided walking tour. You’ll explore Puerto Madero with its iconic Puente de la Mujer, see the county’s political center at Plaza de Mayo, and wander the colorful cobblestone streets of San Telmo.

In the evening, you’ll be transferred from the hotel for an exquisite dining experience. You’ll dive into the best of Argentinian gastronomy and culture with a tasting menu of 10 mouth-watering dishes. A celebration of traditional specialties, this delectable dinner is paired with three carefully selected wines from Argentina’s most celebrated regions.

Day 3: Teatro Colón and Belle Epoque tour

Today you’ll enjoy an exclusive cultural tour, where you’ll delve into Buenos Aires’ performing arts scene. Starting at the hotel, the tour will take you to the renowned Teatro Colón. This architectural treasure has been the epicenter of opera and classical music in Argentina since it opened in 1908. You’ll enjoy a guided tour here, where you can revel in the opulent interior design and learn about the theater’s rich and storied history.

Then, you’ll enjoy a Belle Epoque walking tour around the grand mansions and elegant architecture of La Recoleta, which is known as the “Argentinian Paris.” Afterwards, we’ll indulge in some traditional empanadas at Plaza San Martín.

You’ll spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure before another overnight stay, which is part of your expedition cruise to Antarctica.
